Todd Santos

Weather Plus Meteorologist

Little did Mom and Dad know that bringing a two-week-old boy on a small sailboat would be the start of so much more than simple life experiences for this native Rhode Islander. To a child fascinated with the way things work, weather was one of the biggest questions of all. From sailing in the western Atlantic, to skiing in New England, and surfing in the southeast it is the outdoors that drive Todd’s deep interest in how the planet is alive around us.

Soon after starting a forecast service for offshore sailors that evolved into TSweather.com, Todd began work as the weekend meteorologist for WLTX-TV in Columbia, SC. In the southeast he was put to the test covering severe weather from tropical systems to ice storms...all while enjoying some of the best barbecue this country has to offer.

Todd is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Lowell and was awarded the Seal of Approval from the American Meteorological Society in 2005.

From boat builder to sailing race coach...ski lift operator to atmospheric scientist...to this day Todd enjoys going to work in the arts that support his true passions.
