Gary Archibald
Weather Plus.com Weathercaster Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario - Gary Archibald has cultivated a multi-faceted career in the world of media. In front of the camera, Gary has been a television anchor and reporter, working for Global Television's morning show in Toronto. Prior to joining the team at Global Television, Gary was seen nationally across Canada anchoring and reporting on a national scale weather stories for The Weather Network, including his own popular weekend show. Following his passion for sports, he was also a reporter for Rogers Television covering junior hockey in 2000 and 2001. He has also worked for The Sports Network (TSN-ESPN Canada) as a writer and editor. Since 1996, Gary has also worked as a professional model represented currently by the world-renown Ford agency in Toronto and New York. Moreover, as an actor he has appeared in numerous television commercials and made his motion picture feature debut in 2004's comedy hit "Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle". Gary's talents behind the camera are numerous. Previously, he has worked as a photographer for a high profile international stock photo agency; his work has been published across North America including books, calendars, and fine art posters.A graduate of the University of Toronto, Gary holds an Honors Bachelor Science degree in Psychology. He is also a graduate with Honors distinction of the Centennial College Broadcasting, Radio & Television program.In his spare time, Gary enjoys many sports including football, baseball, basketball, downhill-skiing, hockey, canoeing, and tennis among others. He also loves to read - non-fiction in particular. World War history, political science, and fine art history are favorites.
